We would really like a parent's "howto" guide on how to setup a Minecraft server... particularly for:
a) Restricting people by username onto the server
b) Stopping the use of destructive items (like TNT)
c) Logging chat for later perusal if required
d) Any other tips

I'm basically setting up Minecraft for a group of seven year olds... to put that in perspective they are just starting to write a few sentences on paper - they won't be involved in administering config files!

Hope to hear some tips from you on how to do this in the Stipe console environment.

Hi Nexus!

Thank you for your feedback!

We are in the works of making a very easy to use interface for access restrictions and types of modes for players - This is expected to be completed before the easter holidays.
Logging of chat is also a great idea.. Currently there is a very detailed server log available (See ServerLogDetailed.txt) but we will introduce a filtered version of that log containing chat logs! Will keep you updated!

Documentation and video tutorials for parents and novice users will also be released soon!

For now, just send us a ticket and we will assist / guide you.

Kind Regards,
Mike K
