That what the problem is, when crazy returns i'm going to get him to add me to the email list from the data center so that in future, if they have planed outages, I will also know about them, and can email all customers if crazy in afk.
As for todays outage, I have got no answer for you, ill look into it.

 Was a DoS attack, no doubt why server was down earlier. They then took servers offline at 11.30pm to repair the damage.

I'm back. Will ensure this does not happen again.

However yes when it comes to DDoS attacks there is little we can do sadly. We try to stay on everyones good side most of the time :P

Update: Just updating an old post from 2011. Since then we have state of the art DDoS mitigation and DDoS for us is a thing of the past!
