    Update for Oct 2026:

    STIPE has released significant updates to the control panel system, from styling overhaul, to greater feature access for ease of use and flexibility.

    Here are some of the features we have added:
    • More Modpacks and Mods Installer - We are now integrated with CurseForge, Feed The Beast, Modrinth and AtLauncher! You can search and install any modpack, normally shown in their websites or apps, directly from our control panel. Our powerful installer will automatically remove client only mods and even convert any modpack releases that don't have server data. This feature is always updating as more mods and modpacks are released. Simply go to the One-Click Installers & Modpacks section or More Modpacks and Mods Installer section to find any modpack you want and install

    • Website Style and UI overhaul - We have improved the overall look and feel of the control panel. For easier navigation and configuring your server. While you are creating your server, if you make any mistakes, our control panel will provide helpful information and automated solutions to fix your sever so you can get going faster than ever!

    • SSO Login update - We've now added Google and Discord SSO login so you don't have to memorise your username and password

    • Support Ticket section upgrade - We have overhauled our support ticket section for a greater interactive chat-like response system

    • Install individual mods with greater ease - Our More Modpacks and Mods Installer section now has Search and Install individual mods feature. You can now search for mods within the control panel, the system will auto detect what version of Fabric/Forge/NeoForge you are using and provide you the correct mod version which works best for it. This significantly reduces time and complexity when adding or modifying the modpack

    • Smart crash detection and diagnoses system upgrade - If your server crashes our smart server management system will attempt to fix the problem for you. It will also provide you with helpful information to the cause of the crash and how to fix. This can range from mod conflicts, incompatibility, resource issues, versioning issues, and much more! For complex issues, our AI system will research the issue online and provide further advise on how to resolve the problem - helping you fast track issues so you can get your server going without further delays.

    • Backup system upgrade - We've always had one of the best wayback machine like backup system, reversing mistakes, greifing, corruption or other failures. Strong, reliable, with a dual backup system storing up to 8 - 12 months worth of backup locally and in encrypted cloud. All of this is automated so you don't have to configure it. Now we have added the ability for you to download backups, not just reverse your server. You can even restore / download partial files or folders. You can also download a full backup of your live data files without needing to use FTP

    • MySQL Database - Though not commonly used as most mod and plugin store database data directly on your server storage, we have now added an interface to create and manage additional MySQL databases you may need. All Minecraft plans include this feature for no additional cost

    • Console - The server console section has been completely revamped. With faster response times, improved mobile phone usability, and overall look and feel.

    • Resource Pack Feature Updated - We have updated our resource pack feature for Minecraft Java edition allowing you to easily add multiple resource packs without needing to worry about hosting them or figuring out how to configure them. This will be done for you automatically.


    These are just a small amount of features listed. Our documentation and videos are still being updated to reflect these new changes. You may contact our support team if you have any issues using these new features.

    More updates to come every week! Our next update includes the ability to downgrade plans at any time, not just upgrade. Server split feature will also be introduced, allowing you to split your RAM and spawn multiple servers at the same time - you will be able to choose and distribute your RAM between servers for greater flexibility. An interactive help system is also being developed, if you get stuck you can use our AI like interface to help you develop your server the way you like. The system will even install the server and mods/plugins for you by just mentioning what you want in sentences!

How to Install Bedrock Add-ons using the STIPE Control Panel

STIPE provides a built-in Bedrock Addons Manager that allows you to upload, install, remove and organise Minecraft Bedrock add-ons directly from your control panel.

You can upload standard Bedrock .mcaddon and .mcpack files without needing to use FTP or the File Manager.

Quick Summary

  • Stop your Bedrock server.
  • Download the required .mcaddon or .mcpack files.
  • Upload them using Drag & Drop or Browse Files.
  • Upload both Behavior and Resource Packs when the creator provides both.
  • Check that the add-on shows as installed.
  • Adjust the load order if required.
  • Click Save Load Order.
  • Start the server and test the add-on.

1. Before you begin

For the easiest installation, we recommend stopping your Minecraft Bedrock server before uploading the add-on.

If your server is stopped when the file is uploaded, STIPE will automatically attempt to install the add-on for you.

If your server is currently running, you can still upload the file. After uploading:

  • Stop the server
  • Return to the Bedrock Addons Manager
  • Click Install next to the uploaded add-on

2. Finding Bedrock add-ons

The Bedrock Addons Manager supports downloadable add-ons supplied as:

  • .mcaddon
  • .mcpack

Some websites that provide downloadable Bedrock add-ons include:

MCPEDL

ModBay

Important:

These are third-party websites and are not affiliated with or operated by STIPE. STIPE does not control the files or content hosted on these websites.

Please take care when downloading files and only download content from sources you trust.

3. Marketplace add-ons

Minecraft Marketplace purchases are different from normal downloadable Bedrock add-ons.

Marketplace content is licensed and managed through Minecraft and will not normally provide a standalone .mcaddon or .mcpack file that can be uploaded to a Bedrock Dedicated Server.

The STIPE uploader is intended for downloadable Bedrock add-ons where the creator provides the actual .mcaddon or .mcpack files.

4. Open the Bedrock Addons Manager

From your STIPE control panel:

  • Select your Minecraft Bedrock server.
  • Open the server settings.
  • Navigate to the Bedrock Addons Manager.

You will see an upload area similar to:

Drag & drop Bedrock add-ons here

You can either:

  • Drag a .mcaddon or .mcpack file from your computer into the upload box, or
  • Click Browse Files and select the file from your computer.

The maximum supported upload size is currently 512 MB per file.

5. Behavior Packs and Resource Packs

Important:

Some Bedrock add-ons contain both:

  • A Behavior Pack
  • A Resource Pack

Sometimes these are bundled together inside one .mcaddon file.

Other add-ons provide them as two separate files.

If the creator provides separate Behavior Pack and Resource Pack files, make sure you upload both.

The add-on may not work correctly if only one of the required packs is installed.

For example, you may receive:

MyAddon\_Resources.mcpack

In this situation, upload both files.

6. Installing an uploaded add-on

After uploading, the add-on will appear in the Bedrock Addons Manager.

If the server was stopped during the upload, STIPE will automatically attempt to install the add-on.

If the server was running, the file will be uploaded but will not be activated automatically.

To install it:

  • Stop your Minecraft server.
  • Open the Bedrock Addons Manager again.
  • Find the uploaded add-on.
  • Click Install.

Once installed, the status shown beside the add-on will change accordingly.

7. Changing add-on load order

Some Bedrock add-ons need to load before or after other packs.

The Bedrock Addons Manager allows you to change the load order directly from the control panel.

Change the order number beside each add-on and then click:

Save Load Order

The lowest numbers are loaded earlier in the list.

You may also see information such as:

Code: [Select]
B:1
R:2

B refers to the Behavior Pack position.

R refers to the Resource Pack position.

These can differ because Bedrock maintains separate Behavior Pack and Resource Pack lists.

After changing the order, click Save Load Order before starting your server.

8. Removing an uploaded add-on file

If you uploaded the wrong file and the add-on has not been installed, you can remove it using the Delete button.

For safety, the Delete option is only available for packs that are not currently installed.

If an add-on is already installed, uninstall or remove it appropriately before deleting its source file.

9. Start your server

Once the required add-ons have been installed and the load order has been saved:

  • Start your Minecraft Bedrock server.
  • Wait for the server to fully load.
  • Connect to the server and test the add-on.

Some add-ons may require additional configuration or specific Minecraft versions. Always read the installation instructions supplied by the add-on creator.

Troubleshooting

The add-on uploads but does not work

Check whether the creator supplied both a Behavior Pack and Resource Pack. If they did, make sure both files have been uploaded and installed.

There is an Install button beside the file

This normally means the file has been uploaded but has not yet been activated. Stop the server and click Install.

The add-on was purchased from the Minecraft Marketplace

Marketplace content generally cannot be uploaded using this system unless the creator separately provides a standard .mcaddon or .mcpack version intended for dedicated servers.

The add-on requires a particular Minecraft version

Check the creator's download page and make sure the add-on supports the version of Minecraft Bedrock currently installed on your server.

The add-on still does not work

Check the creator's documentation first. If you are still having trouble, please contact STIPE Support and let us know the name of the add-on and where you downloaded it from.

To update your server just head on over to the Settings--> One-Click Installers & Modpacks section and click on INSTALL for Hytale Vanilla v2026.02.17-255364b8e

Its that time again! Hytale update 2 is now released.

This is a compulsory update - customers will need to update their servers for this release in order to continue playing.

Updates to the server can be done from the One-Click Installers & Modpacks section of the control panel. We do not auto update the servers as this can introduce corruption from mods and plugins which may need to be updated first.

Here is a quick summary of the update:

Hytale Update 2 focuses on a mix of improvements, balancing, and major backend/server upgrades. It adds new cosmetics and character customization options (including armour visibility toggles and improved animations), introduces several gameplay tweaks like adjusted mining/tool progression, creature balance changes, and new crafting options, and delivers a solid set of farming improvements (better soil/crop behaviour, seed returns, and offhand torch support). On the world side, it expands WorldGen V2 support with new flat/void templates and updates ore generation so new chunks contain refreshed ore layouts. UI and accessibility also get attention with clearer tooltips, inventory shortcuts, an optional FPS counter, map/compass readability upgrades, and an "Ophidiophobia mode" that replaces snakes. The server side has a big push toward stability plus large list of fixes and refinements across gameplay, audio/visuals, and general performance.

Minecraft 1.21.6 - Chase the Skies Update is Live!

Great news! Minecraft 1.21.6 is now released and is automatically included on a new server install via the STIPE Control panel. You can also install it any time you like from the One-Click Installers & Modpacks section.

The Minecraft 1.21.6 update is officially here, bringing fresh gameplay mechanics, improved visuals, and a few long-requested features. Here is a quick breakdown of what to expect:

Ride the Happy Ghast
This update introduces a unique new mob: the Happy Ghast.
  • Found by crafting a Dried Ghast in the Nether.
  • Rehydrate it in the Overworld to get a Ghastling, which eventually grows into a Happy Ghast.
  • Equip it with a harness and it becomes rideable, able to carry up to four players!

Locator Bar - Multiplayer Navigation
A new Locator Bar replaces the XP bar when not gaining XP.
  • Helps point out the direction of nearby players.
  • Great for coordination in multiplayer worlds.
  • Server admins can enable or disable it as needed.

New Music and Soundtracks
New background tracks composed by Amos Roddy.
Includes a new music disc called "Tears".
Enhances the ambiance across several biomes and menus.

Crafting and Gameplay Enhancements
  • Saddle Crafting: You can now craft saddles using 3 leather and 1 iron ingot.
  • Lead Update: Leads now only require string to craft. Plus, you can leash multiple mobs at once.
  • Harnesses: Equip your Happy Ghast with colorful harnesses that support multiple riders.

Bedrock Edition - Vibrant Visuals
Players on Bedrock Edition now have access to Vibrant Visuals.

We're excited to announce an upgrade to our backup system!

Effective today, we have implemented a new backup solution that significantly extends the retention period for expired or suspended customer servers. Previously, backups were stored for 1.5 months - but with this update, we're now keeping them for over 6 months!

Summary of what's changing:
  • Old retention: 1.5 months
  • New retention: 6 months
  • Effective from: Today
  • Applies to: Existing, expired and suspended customer servers

We’re always working to improve your experience and give you more peace of mind.

Please note we sill recommend customers to download their own backups from time to time. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our support team!

Minecraft / How to connect via Nintendo Switch

To join your custom Minecraft server on the Nintendo Switch, you'll need to adjust your DNS settings to access a proxy service like BedrockConnect. This method allows you to connect to servers beyond the default featured list in Minecraft Bedrock Edition (Sadly Microsoft/Mojang have not made this an easy process to join Custom servers)

Step 1: Change Your DNS Settings
  • Go to the System Settings from the Switch home screen.
  • Select Internet, then Internet Settings.
  • Choose your current Wi-Fi connection and select Change Settings.
  • Scroll to DNS Settings and change it to Manual.
  • Set the DNS values as follows:
        Primary DNS: 104.238.130.180
        Secondary DNS: 8.8.8.8

Step 2: Launch Minecraft and Access Custom Servers
  • Open Minecraft Bedrock Edition on your Nintendo Switch.
  • Go to the Play menu and navigate to the Servers tab.
  • Click on any featured server (like Mineplex or Lifeboat).
  • Instead of connecting directly, you should see an option to open a Server List. Select it.

Step 3: Add and Connect to Your Server
  • Choose Connect to a Server from the menu.
  • Enter your server’s IP address and port number.
  • (Optional) Give the server a name.
  • Select Submit to connect.

Note: If the server list does not appear right away, try restarting Minecraft or the console. DNS changes can take a few minutes to apply.

Great news, Minecraft 1.21.5 is now released and is automatically included on a new server install via the STIPE Control panel. You can also install it any time you like from the One-Click Installers & Modpacks section.

The Minecraft 1.21.5 update, titled 'Spring to Life', is officially released! This update brings exciting new content aimed at making the Overworld feel more dynamic and immersive. Here is a quick summary of what you can expect:


🌿 New Mobs and Plants

Six new mobs have been added, giving players more variety in their world encounters.

A wide selection of new plants helps bring more life and color to the Overworld.

🔧 Quality-of-Life Improvements

This update includes several gameplay refinements and bug fixes to enhance the overall experience.

It may not be the biggest update, but it lays the groundwork for more dynamic updates in the future.

🔥 Looking Ahead

Mojang has teased a future update focusing on the Nether and a rework of an infamous mob.

More themed updates are planned going forward, as well as a major 'Vibrant Visuals' graphical enhancement.

Minecraft / How do I Ban / Unban players?

Minecraft has 2 ways to prevent unwanted players from joining the server. (This applies to both Java and Bedrock editions)

You can either use the whitelist feature which locks the server and prevents all players from joining except those who are on the whitelist. (Recommended for private servers such as family and friends)
Or
You can leave whitelist off which will allow anyone to join unless they are on the ban list.

To add/remove players from the Ban list, you can by either:
a) Using the "Ops and Whitelist" section of the server control panel settings and going into the "Banned" tab.
or
b) Using the "Console" section and typing the command:
Ban: ban <playername> [reason]
Unban: pardon <playername>

You should note that if your server.properties setting has online-mode set to false, both the whitelist and ban features are deemed unfunctional.

Minecraft 1.20.6 update released! Armored Paws drop! Travel to the Savanna and Badlands biomes and say hello to the endearing Armadillos. Find and befriend eight new Wolf variants and equip your canine companions with dyable armor made from Armadillo Scutes and go adventuring together!

On the technical side, the Armored Paws drop is also introducing a change to how Java Edition spawn chunks work. Making the spawn chunk radius a configurable game rule and decreasing the default value by 98% which will improve significant performance to players!

Question: How do I upgrade from 1.20.5 and older?
Answer: See this link for installation instructions.

Question: Will my existing world work?
Answer: Yes, after installing 1.20.6, older worlds will automatically be updated upon starting the server. You will not be able to revert back to an older version after this step. (the backup section of the control panel can revert your server back to before you made the update)

Question: Will my plugins work?
Answer: If you install Spigot, which has now been released for Minecraft 1.20.6, then yes plugins will continue to work (if still compatible). You may need to update each plugin to the latest version

Minecraft 1.20.5 Release updates:
  • Java Vanilla Edition - Good to go! (v1.20.6)
  • Bedrock Vanilla Edition - n/a, but v1.20.80 released
  • Java Spigot - Released, limited support with older plugins

The first Pre-release for Minecraft 1.20: The Trails and Tales update has been released. (Note: Pre-releases are the final stages of snapshots before the final release)

We now have a confirmation of the final release by 7th June (8th of June for Australia)

Rest assured STIPE servers have been stress testing and tweaking the up coming release to ensure maximum performance, stability and fast transition from older versions.

This release comes with improvements to horse breeding and jukeboxes, new visuals for potions, new accessibility features and many new technical capabilities like the damage and ride commands and display and interaction entities.

Minecraft / How to Increase RAM on Minecraft Client (Not server)

If your PC (or any connecting client PC) are using a large modpack and you have issues with connecting (such as timeout or slow frame rates) you may need to set a higher RAM value of the modpack's java instance. This is a client side RAM and does not affect the server.

This can be achieved from Minecraft Launcher before clicking "Play" to start the game.

Step 1) Go to the Installations Tab and edit the modpack settings as per image below





Step 2 )Choose More Options






Step 3) Look for -xmx and note the numbers after it. If it says 4096m then it means its set to 4GB RAM startup, which is default setting and this may be too low for large modpacks. Try increasing this number to 5000m for 5GB or 6000m for 6GB or higher (This depends on how much RAM you have on your PC, see notes below)



 

Step 4) You can now save it and launch the modpack



NOTES:
Before increasing the RAM settings for your modpack, you need to make sure that you PC has sufficient free RAM

Your Task Manager can show you how much RAM remaining you have, like in this case below, there is 31.9GB total RAM and only 47% is used so far. This means it is possible to start the modpack with 16GB of RAM but its a good idea to have a bit extra for the OS and other programs, so 14GB would be the maximum.
