World settings are stored in a different folder compared to the main server settings
server
|-----> config.json (for server general settings)
|-----> universe ----> worlds ----> <world name> ---> config.json (For world settings)

So to change settings like enabling PVP you need to go to the world settings config.

By default, your world is called default

How to modify world settings:
1) Go to File Manager in your Control Panel
2) Go to universe folder
3) Go to worlds folder
4) Go to default folder (or the world you want to edit)
5) Right-click the config.json file and click Edit

Examples of settings you can change

IsPvpEnabled - Allow player vs player combat (false for off, true for on)
IsFallDamageEnabled - Players take fall damage

GameMode - Default game mode for this world (Once a player has already joined, changing this setting won't take affect on them)

Available game modes:
Adventure - Standard survival gameplay
Creative - Building mode with unlimited resources

News and Updates / Hytale first update is out!
« on: 18 January 2026, 00:25:46 »
Only just over 5 days since the pre-release and Hytale have already pushed through a content update along with many fixes!

Full update release notes can be found here

Customers on STIPE hosting can update their servers from the Installer and Modpacks section with one click.

We currently do not push out automated 0-click updates to avoid any incompatibility issues with existing mods or plugins customers may be using. However an automatic upgrade toggle will be made available for customers who do want their servers updated immediately.

Our development team are working around the clock to complete all features on the control panel for Hytale. Expect a Mod and Plugin Management system soon! For now please continue to use File Manager or FTP to upload and manage your mods.

News and Updates / Get ready, Minecraft 1.21.5 is Almost Here!
« on: 21 March 2025, 18:19:23 »

Minecraft 1.21.5 is Almost Here - Get Ready!

With the release of Minecraft 1.21.5 Release Candidate 1, the next official update is just around the corner!
We've been working hard behind the scenes, testing and tuning our servers to make sure everything is running smoothly and ready for the update.

As with every new Minecraft version, platforms like Spigot, Forge, Fabric, and others will take a little more time to update after Mojang's official release.
So if you're running a modded or plugin-based server - hang tight! These updates usually roll out within a few days to a couple of weeks.

But that doesn't mean you have to wait to play!
With STIPE Control Panel, you can create a new server profile running Minecraft 1.21.5 Vanilla and dive right into the action.
Your existing modpacks and plugin setups will remain untouched while you explore the latest features in a fresh environment!

Tips to Prepare for 1.21.5:
  • Although we have a robust backup time machine solution, its always good to download a copy of your server files before updating
  • Avoid rushing into plugin/mod updates. Wait for official releases from developers to ensure stability.
  • Take advantage of STIPE Control Panel's Server Profile Manager to create multiple isolated setups for Vanilla and Modded play.

We'll keep monitoring the release channels for Spigot, Paper, Forge, and Fabric, and we'll let you know the moment they're stable for Minecraft 1.21.5.

Stay tuned, stay safe, and happy mining!

Minecraft / How to use a seed or find out what seed I currently have?
« on: 29 September 2024, 16:05:41 »
A Minecraft seed is a code used to generate a specific world in the game. Entering a seed when creating a new world allows you to recreate the same terrain, biomes, and structures every time. Seeds can be numbers or text, and each seed produces a unique world layout.

How to set a seed for your Minecraft server::

Quick Method
You can do this via the Control panel in Express settings section. Look for World Seed ID and type in the new seed there. You should also change the  World Name too so that a new world is generated with the new seed. Don't forget to press  Apply and restart server.

Manual Method
  • Locate server.properties: Find and open the server.properties file (You can do this via the File Manager section of the control panel)
  • Set the seed: Look for the line that says level-seed= and enter your desired seed after the equals sign (e.g., level-seed=12345).
  • Set the world: Look for the line that says level-name= and enter a new world name of your choosing
  • Save and restart the server: Save the file, then restart the server for the seed to take effect.

When the server restarts, it will generate a new world based on the seed you've entered.

Changing a seed on an existing world is not possible. So thats why you will need to enter a new world name every time you want to use a new seed.

How to find the current seed on a server:
You can go to the Console section of the control panel and type the command: seed
It will then tell you the seed ID of the currently active world.

Minecraft / Re: Proximity Chat(Simple Voice Chat)
« on: 20 October 2021, 08:57:27 »
Just a FYI for those who are still wondering, the ports are now automatically set for you.
Just restart the server twice and it will auto apply the ports in your config files. Easy!

Minecraft / Re: FTP World Upload
« on: 20 October 2021, 08:56:18 »
Apologies we missed your post there.

The _nether and _the_end folders are generated by Spigot. They take out the default The End and Nether folders that are normally located in the world folder, and put them in separate folders on root of your server files.

Minecraft / Re: The GeyserMC Solution, a JAVA+BEDROCK Hybird
« on: 20 October 2021, 08:52:01 »

Note also that you should edit the Geyser config.yml to reflect the Bedrock ip and port listed in your settings page. Compatible with PC and mobile versions of Bedrock. Consoles might be more of a challenge.

Thanks for the information Vardogr. Actually if you restart the server twice, the STIPE Control Panel will automatically fill those details in for you. So you don't need to do this manually! But if you are hosting the server from a place other than STIPE, then yes you would need to manually edit those values.

Minecraft / Kill entities in server
« on: 19 July 2021, 08:49:11 »
Did you accidently spawn a million cats? Farm out of control and now need to clean it up?
Sometimes you need to remove a large amount of entities which have taken over your world. Removing one by one can be difficult so here are commands you can type in-game (as an op) or in the console of the control panel

For Minecraft 1.13 or greater (1.14, 1.15, 1.16, 1.17, 1.18)

Kill all sheep:
Code: [Select]
/kill @e[type=sheep]
Kill all cows:
Code: [Select]
/kill @e[type=cow]
Kill everything but players:
Code: [Select]
/kill @e[type=!player]
Kill everything but players and items (like armor stands)
Code: [Select]
/kill @e[type=!player,type=!item]
Kill everything but players, items, and villagers
Code: [Select]
/kill @e[type=!player,type=!item,type=!villager]

NOTE: If you are typing the above in the console, type it without the / in the start

Some minor updates:
Added 2 domains which can be used for connecting to your minecraft server
  • anything.mccc.me
  • anything.mcjoin.me

Our Custom CurseForge installer now supports modpacks created for Fabric servers (previously only Forge was supported, now both are).  Any modpacks you create using CurseForge can be installed with ease regardless if Forge or Fabric!

I don't think higher demanding has ever stopped Stipe before, Crazy always has something in his back pocket ;)

We've tweaked it even further today. Still more can be done - the fixes we made should be fixed by Mojang so its playable for everyone else. We will be sending them a report. Hopefully they release it on 1.17.1  :)
