General Talk / Re: Brink
« on: 05 May 2011, 10:25:10 »
Dedicatred Servers:

What is the Brink Standalone Dedicated Server?
The Brink Standalone Dedicated Server allows anyone to run multiplayer servers for the PC version of Brink. As the server is standalone, it does not require a full version of Brink to be installed and is completely free.

Where will I be able to get the Brink Standalone Dedicated Server?
The Brink Standalone Dedicated Server will be available for download via Steam prior to release. Once the server is available, you can simply browse to the Tools tab in your Steam client and grab it from there.

Will I be able to run several instances of the Brink Standalone Dedicated Server on a single machine?
Yes. The Brink Standalone Dedicated Server comes with several pre-made bat files that automatically define different ports for each instance. It’s also possible for you to set your own, custom ports.

In terms of available game options, how customizable will the Brink Standalone Dedicated Server be?
The Brink Standalone Dedicated Server includes several different game configuration files covering all of the regular game modes, including campaign, stopwatch, objective, and co-op challenges. In addition, there are a variety of server-side commands available that allow you to further customize your server, including team sizes, time limits and overtime, warm-up rules, friendly fire, voice chat, availability of Command Post buffs, rank restrictions, number of bots, and password.

I represent a Game Server Provider. How can my company offer servers for Brink?
Easy! Once the Standalone Dedicated Server is available on Steam, you’ll be able to start getting Brink game servers up for your customers. We’re currently aiming to have the server files available before release so you’ll be all set when the game comes out.

Should be now CRAZY...its out next week...hope your onto it.

Counter Strike: Source (Archived) / Dissconnecting from CS
« on: 15 February 2011, 12:31:15 »
Blood is having issues where he goes into CS and then any game server and is kicked anywhere from 5 sec to 1 min.

Not only that he is kicked from his Net, he has to unplug his connection and restart.

We tried to find a solution for a couple of hours last night like:

Doing the game defrag and rebuild, deleting the *.blob file, making sure the right auth was on for running CS etc but same thing.

If anyone has come across the same thing can they post pls.

Cheers.

<MindSpark> So the officer stops me and asks for my license and registration
<MindSpark> After handing them to him , he asks who the car belongs to
<MindSpark> I tell him it's my wifes
<MindSpark> He asks if I have an authorization, because you have to have some proof that you're allowed to ride a car that's not yours
<MindSpark> I go "Sir, I ride the OWNER of this car personally with no authorization, do you really expect me to have an authorization to ride her car ?"
<MindSpark> Officer hands me back the papers in silence and salutes me

Tutorials / Re: CSS Custom Background
« on: 13 January 2011, 10:51:39 »
Showing you mine goes a little like this.

A guy walks into a pub and orders a beer.
At the end of the counter is a massive jar full of cash with "Donkey Laugh" written on the side of it.
He asks the bartender whats the jar all about.
He responds...

"Well you see the owner has a donkey tied up out the back and anyone who can make it laugh can drink in the pub for free and have all of the cash in the jar". "But it will cost you $20 to have a crack"

So the guy puts $20 in the jar and goes out back.
He walks up to the Donkey and pats him on the head and bends over and wispers in its ear. All of a sudden the Donkey starts uncontrollably laughing rolling on the ground in the dirt laughing.

The guy casually walking inside finishes off his beer and takes the jar and leaves without saying a work. Everyone is dumbfounded just standing around saying nothing.

A year goes by and the same man finds himself back at the same pub where he made the Donkey laugh.

He walks into the pub and orders a beer.
At the end of the counter is a massive jar full of cash with "Donkey Cry" written on the side of it.
He asks the bartender whats the jar all about.
He responds...

"The donkey you made laugh is tied up out the back and anyone who can make it cry can drink in the pub for free and have all of the cash in the jar". "But it will cost you $50 to have a crack"

So the guy puts $50 in the jar and goes out back.

And all of a sudden all the people in the pub could hear was the Donkey crying.
The guy walked inside and finished his beer and picked up the jar full of cash and started to leave when the bartender stopped him.

He said " A year ago you made the donkey laugh which hundereds of people had tried and failed and now you have made it cry...how the hell did you do it.

Well said the man, "The first time I wispered to him that my dick was bigger than his, and this time I showed him."

**********************************************

So have a guess who that man was Del.

Because you dont want me to make you cry do you!
