Tolkiencraft 2 - 1.7.10
Pro: Heaps of Mods, also lots of unique mods. Fairly Stable. Middle earth theme. Feels like a MMO.
Leveling weapons. Unique items. Middle Earth is Huge.
Con: Updates require a bit of work as you need to create a new world and copy over only certain files from you existing world to it,
though this will apparently change soon. NEI Lag(happening with most mod packs in 1.7.10.
Exploration: 6/6
Stability: 4/6
Story/Theme: 6/6

MadPack – 1.7.10
Pro: Lucky Blocks. Pandora’s Box. Exploration. Quests (HQM)
Con: Very challenging modpack, which is no good to play on a server. A game will not last more than a week. Acid Rain, too many silver fish, difficulty increases every day and it you sleep it increases 2 times in difficulty. This is not a building pack, your house will be destroyed, and your cave will be destroyed. If you play it on hard mode you will lose at least 30 worlds. On multiplayer server after about 7 days sleeping you will die to a zombie..20 times. You will lose players because of this Modpack. So best to try in single player as it was meant to be.
Exploration: 1/6 – You will die before you get too far.
Stability: 4/6
Story/Theme: 3/6
Difficulty: Extreme

Heaps of different mobs. Vein mining. Rogue Dungeons + other ruins above and below water.
Very Stable. Lucky blocks.
Con: Needs more explorations options in Nether. No real Theme.
Exploration: 4/6
Stability: 4/6
Story/Theme: 2/6

Modsauce – 1.7.10
Pro: Heaps of Mods, more constantly being added. Frequent Updates. Fairly Stable.
Con: Feels like it has just been thrown together without any theme, needs more explorations options. Rogue Dungeons just get boring after a while. Some updates change too much at once and can cause damage to existing worlds.
Exploration: 3/6
Stability: 4/6
Story/Theme: 2/6
Difficulty: Easy

Minecraft / Mod Pack reviews 1.7.10
« on: 22 October 2014, 12:38:47 »
Hey since Stipe is kind enough to make available quite a few Mod Packs, i thought I would post some short reviews on the ones I have tried out.

I will post mine and my friends opinions on how we thought the packs play.

Minecraft / Game Profile Management = Awesome
« on: 10 October 2014, 09:34:32 »
A couple of weeks ago i started really looking into the way the Game Profile Management works.
Myself and my friends enjoy playing together a lot, but now and again we like to change mod-packs in Minecraft,
this is either due to waiting for the next update to fix some bugs or we just need a change.

With the Game Profile Management I have been able to set up multiple mod-packs and once a week (usually Saturday night)
we change over to another pack for one night. At the moment we have been playing Twisted Sin 1.7.10
playing it all the time would be very frustrating because its so hard, but once a week/fortnight/month makes it an enjoyable change.

When I change over its just one click and then load up the server, the game will continue on from the last time we played,
and with the mod-pack already installed and ready each time it makes it very easy to play.

I would just like to say a thank you to Crazy and Stipe for the great service and their patience when I want to try out a new mod-pack.
Also this message is a heads up to other people just in case they didn't know they could do this as well.

Keep up the great work.

Regards
Brimy
