Minecraft / How to install Bukkit Plugins to your server
« on: 11 July 2019, 14:27:35 »
As long as your server is running Spigot/Bukkit, you can install Bukkit Plugins! (Note, if your using Forge / modpacks, then you can't use Bukkit Plugins. Its either one or the other)

You can use the BUKKIT PLUGINS section of the control panel to find and install plugins quickly. But only the most common plugins are listed.
So here's how you can do it manually:

You can search for spigot / bukkit plugins using google and download from:
https://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins
AND
https://www.spigotmc.org/  (Though we recommend you search for spigot plugin via google as it gives faster and better results

1) Download the JAR File to your PC
2) Go to FILE MANAGER and into the PLUGINS folder
3) Drag and Drop the downloaded plugin from your PC right into file manager.
4) Restart server! (You can also type reload in the console)

1) Stop server, Go to PLUGINS AND MODPACKS section of your control panel
2) Look for Minecraft 1.14.4 [Vanilla], and click INSTALL

We recommend that you start fresh, so New install is best. (If you click new Install, your existing world and build will be stored in a safe place for you to play later)

Minecraft / How to upgrade to Minecraft 1.14
« on: 24 April 2019, 09:30:51 »
Here's how you can upgrade to Minecraft 1.14:

UPDATE: Spigot (CraftBukkit) 1.14 has been released! Remember these are very early stages! Not all plugins expected to work.

***IMPORTANT NOTICE: The new release of Minecraft 1.14 is very unstable! It consumes more than double the RAM, and also locks out Minecraft's primary CPU cores causing your server to lag. We recommend that you stay on 1.13.2 if you can until Minecraft 1.14.1 is released. Or live with the lag!

1) Stop server, Go to PLUGINS AND MODPACKS section of your control panel
2) Look for Minecraft 1.14, and click INSTALL

OR for Plugin support:

3)
If you want to upgrade your existing world, click upgrade.
We recommend that you start fresh, so New install is best. (If you click new Install, your existing world and build will be stored in a safe place for you to play later)

Minecraft / Permissions Plugins (Bukkit)
« on: 18 February 2019, 09:51:53 »
If you need to restrict or give access to only certain things to players, either its from other plugins or just general minecraft permissions, you are best to add a "Permissions system plugin" on your server.
Many plugins have a permissions list which you can then use on a permissions system plugin to restrict or give access to players.

There are a few permission system plugins you can use, but all require a bit of time allocated to learn how to use and troubleshoot.

List of common permission systems:

Widley used: PermissionsEx: https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/permissionsex
Note: Works on Minecraft 1.13 but not officially supported.

Recent and updated: LuckPerms - https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/luckperms-an-advanced-permissions-plugin.28140/
Note: Official for v.1.13

Paid Plugin: UltraPermissions: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/ultra-permissions.42678/
Note: There a paid plugin which uses the in-game interface to set up permissions - to some its much easier.

So for example, say you want WorldEdit to be restricted to only a few members, you first will need a list of all the permissions WorldEdit would support. You can google this but here is a list of WorldEdit's Permissions:

How to give players EssentialsX Permissions? (eg /sethome)

There are two ways to do this:
Option 1: Install a permissions system (LuckPerms, PermissionsEx, etc).  This is powerful method and allows you to set permissions for each player or group. BUT it's very complicated and you will have to spend time learning the system.

Option 2: The other option is the easy way, just edit the plugins/Essentials/config.yml file and set use-bukkit-permissions: false

This will activate up the "player-commands" section which is located in the same file and give permissions to all players based on the list in the "player-commands" section.
You can remove a command that you don't want them to give, but that's all you can do. You can't set up groups.

We are happy to announce that backup systems have been upgraded to allow full control to the customer! You can now perform self-service restorations to any given hour!

From our current test's the restorations are blazing fast and stable! We TNT'd up a very large world, and then restored it back to the way it was in just 13 seconds!
